BCD Travel has commissioned the process experts of Scheer Managed Services, who have already been responsible for the support of BCD Travel systems for more than three years. The core systems of the SAP landscape were migrated in just six weeks. The remaining systems followed in April 2019.
Due to the further extension of functionality and the associated processing and storage of a large number of credit card transactions, additional security mechanisms had to be implemented, based on the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
Microsoft Azure Cloud platform was chosen as it allows flexible changes of departments and IT to react faster to changing conditions and, in addition, to reduce BCD’s costs. With the completely scalable cloud platform of Microsoft, BCD can run as many applications as desired, test developments or even illustrate entire servers in the cloud in a highly flexible way. With Azure, there are no limits to the further development of BCD’s business.
